E-world 2025 show how important digitalisation has become in the energy industry.
Last week, our colleagues Markus Weber, Florian Reithinger, Andreas Kokott, Benedict Schau, Maximilian Kühl, and Ann-Christin Tiemann attended E-world energy & water, Europe’s leading trade fair for the energy and water industry.
This year’s E-world was particularly interesting for several reasons:
- Record Size: With 980 exhibitors, it set an exhibitor record, and with 33,000 trade visitors, it saw a 10% increase in attendance compared to the previous year.
- Digitalisation Task: Our discussions were dominated by topics such as enterprise architecture, market data management, EU ETS 2, innovations for the trading desk, effective portfolio management, and flexibility management. This reflects not only the breadth of topics but also the number of digital challenges currently facing the industry.
- Growing IT Offerings: It was exciting to observe that, in parallel with the new requirements for the industry's digitalisation, the number of exhibitors focusing on IT services and technology also increased.
Overall, we are very pleased to have been part of E-world 2025 and are already looking forward to next year.
We would also like to thank everyone we spoke with for their trust and the extraordinary openness in our conversations, which enabled truly in-depth discussions.
