2. Personal data

Personal data refers to any information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as IP address, your real name, address, telephone number and date of birth. Information not directly linked to your actual identity – such as favorited websites or the number of users of a site – are not personal data.

Our website does not require you to register in order to use it, and we do not find out any personal data such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address, unless you provide them voluntarily (e.g. by using the contact form). However, your visit to our website is recorded. This involves capturing the current IP address of your computer in anonymised form, the selected websites, your browser type, the date, time and duration of your visit, and your computer’s operating system.

4. Specific use and sharing of personal data

DEVnet does not track you on the website using cookies, for this reason we do not require a privacy banner. However, due to the fact that our website is hosted on Vercel, personal data is stored anonymously in Vercel's server log files. You can find more information about this below under “Third Party Services“.

5. Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for processing your personal data depends on the underlying purpose of the data processing.

Technical administration of the website

The legal basis of processing personal data for the above purpose is Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR, provided we have a contractual relationship with you. If you do not have a contractual relationship with DEVnet GmbH, the legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR. Transfer of personal data (such as the IP address) is necessary to connect to and display the content of the website.

Services

The legal basis of processing personal data for the above purpose is Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR. We provide services within the scope of fulfilling contractual obligations. If we do not process personal data, we cannot meet our contractual obligations/perform the contract.

Use of the contact form

The legal basis of processing personal data for the above purpose is Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR or Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR. We process your personal data in order to process your enquiries and/or applications for employment. If we do not process personal data, we cannot respond to your enquiries or applications.

6. Using the contact form & application form

We use the personal data you transmit to process enquiries and job applications. Of course, we treat the data you provide confidentially, and only share it with affiliated companies or companies commissioned with data processing to the extent this is permissible within the scope of the purposes described and legal provisions. If we commission processors, these are carefully selected and obligated, in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, to comply with all provisions under data protection law. If a processor is not based in the European Union, we will observe the provisions of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, e.g. concluding standard contractual clauses with the processor.
The e-mail function on our website uses a protected Internet connection. DEVnet assumes no liability or responsibility regarding the confidentiality or completeness of data transfers.
We only store your personal data for as long as necessary to make a decision about your application. If it results in your employment with us, the statutory deadlines for data retention apply. If we decide not to employ you, your data will be deleted six months after we reject your application.
Contact data provided outside of the application process is deleted after processing unless it results in a business relationship or we have your written consent to keep it.

Our staff and contracted service providers are obligated to maintain confidentiality and observe the provisions of applicable data protection law. DEVnet GmbH takes appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data from loss, alteration, destruction and unauthorised access or disclosure. Our security measures are continually improved in line with technological developments.

8. Duration of data storage

We store your data for as long as necessary to provide our online offering and the associated services, or we have a legitimate interest in continued storage (e.g. we may still have a legitimate interest in postal marketing after a contract has been performed). Data is deleted upon expiry of the statutory or contractual retention periods (e.g. tax and commercial law retention periods). Data not subject to retention obligations is deleted after the intended purpose ceases to apply.

Our website is hosted by an external service provider (Vercel). The personal data that collected on our website will be stored on Vercel's servers in log files.
